Maureen Parris

Maureen Parris

Maureen has been teaching for over 50 years. She established “Le Mourier Swim School” in 1980 which was run in St Clements. Since then the school has moved to St Saviours, St John and latterly St Lawrence

Maureen and her family have been involved in swimming all their lives in various ways. She represented Jersey in the Governor’s Cup, back in the dark ages when the only pool available was the outside sea pool at Harve des Pas! 

Malcolm Parris

Director Le Mourier Swim / Sea / Save

Malcolm Parris

Malcolm has been teaching with the family for over 20 years and has experience in all fields of teaching. Including swimming, first aid and powerboating. After swimming competitively he moved towards teaching swimming as soon as he could. Now Malcolm is the directing manager of both our Swim School and our Powerboat and Motor Vessel School.

Malcolm has recently created Le Mourier’s ‘Motor Cruiser’ training programme that sees Le Mourier able to deliver the entire RYA Power & Motor Schemes, making us the leading school for marine courses. This can see Malcolm be in any part of the Channel Island and French Coast at any point. With this in mind though he is always on hand to answer any questions or queries.

Stuart Diack

Stuart Diack

Stuart started his teaching career as a teacher with Aberdeenshire Council in 1988. Also working as a lifeguard he then progressed to becoming a Trainer Assessor with both the STA and RLSS. He took a short break away from the leisure industry where he worked for British Airways. Stuart returned to Aberdeenshire Council in 2002 where he managed the learn to swim scheme.

Using his knowledge for lifesaving and first aid Stuart trained further and worked with the Scottish Ambulance as a first responder. Since then Stuart has now moved to Jersey where he heads Le Mourier’s First Aid School

Tasha Firmino

Office / Accounts Manager

Tasha Firmino

Tasha manages the office of Le Mourier and is referred to as our very own ‘Office Guru’!

Monday to Friday 9am to 2:30pm, Tasha oversees the financial and general administration of the swim school and has worked within Le Mourier for over 14 years!

Any questions or queries you may have, Tasha is always at the end of the phone to answer

Max Denby

Max Denby

Following on the family trait, Max has been involved in swimming his entire life. He has worked alongside Malcolm and Kim from the start, qualifying as soon as he was old enough.

Since coming on full time in March 2017, he has fingers in every pie. Max runs our Langford and Haute Vallee venues, our Junior Teaching Programme and is also a qualified STA First Aid instructor and RYA Powerboat Instructor/Skipper to assist the other aspects of Le Mourier. Max has recently taken on the task of Le Mourier’s IT Administration, any questions give him a shout

In his spare time Max Also volunteers with the Jersey Ambulance Service as a Community First Responder!

Kim Denby (Parris)

Kim Denby (Parris)

Kim has been involved in swimming for most of her life, this is very much a family trait! Kim has been teaching for over 30 years, qualifying as soon as she was old enough. She has worked alongside Maureen in the early years, before travelling and gaining experience in England, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Kim specialises in teaching our younger swimmers, where she heads our Parent + Baby programme as well as runs our busiest venue, Inverness Lodge!

Lyn Parris

Lyn Parris

Lyn has been teaching swimming for over 10 years with Le Mourier. Lyn has now moved into our ‘engine room’ (office) where she looks after all the general admin of the swim school. She is always at the end of the phone ready and willing to answer any questions you may have.

Malindi Gallie

Malindi Gallie

Malindi previously swam with Le Mourier when she was younger all the way up through the school. She then took a break from swimming to concentrate on her school work. Malindi has since started full time in 2018 with Le Mourier to pursue a career in Swimming Teaching. Since stepping aboard Malindi has worked her way through her qualifications and has worked alongside our experienced team to gain the knowledge in Teaching Swimming.

Andy Reid

Andy Reid

Andy moved over to Jersey in 2018 after living in Guernsey for the majority of his life. While he was living in Guernsey Andy played an active role in outdoor aquatic activities with “Outdoor Guernsey” all of which he is eager to bring with him to Le Mourier. Andy joined Le Mourier in 2021 where he will pursuing a career in Swimming Teaching. Alongside teaching Andy brings a substantial amount of experience in the landscaping trade, so you may see him out and about on the grounds ensuring the very best facilities for our swimmers, feel free to give him a wave!

Daisy Myers

Daisy Myers

Daisy has been a part of the Le Mourier family for all her life, starting off as a droplet and continuing all the way up to finish as one of our older Dolphin Swimmers. Daisy was invited to join our Student Teachers Programme where she has been learning alongside our Senior Teachers ever since! In September 2022 Daisy has joined us full time in order to pursue a career in swimming teaching and teaching the future generations to enjoy the water as much as she did.
